Orientation & Overview

We will meet in front of Backwoods Cafe Thursday afternoon on the 23rd

at 4:45-5:00pm and have an early dinner and group Meet n’ Greet, so that everyone has a chance to get to know one another and we’re able to discuss the itinerary.

The restaurant is conveniently located at the Eco Park Resort.

We will begin the workshop immediately following the orientation Thursday 6/23 in the evening with scouting and a sunset shoot at Mount St. Helens.

Friday 6/24 we will shoot sunrise, and then processing session (depending on weather),  sunset scout/shoot again at St. Helens from a different vantage point, with possible Milky Way at night (depending on weather).

Saturday 6/25 will be focused primarily on processing training (depending on weather),

and then a sunset shoot. Should we encounter any days with steady rain, we will plan on shooting nearby waterfalls in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

The workshop will conclude on Sunday 6/26 mid-late morning after shooting sunrise at St. Helens. We will be flexible during these dates regarding locations, going where the weather looks optimal.

"The Mount St. Helens workshop was awesome! I have pretty high expectations for things and I was definitely satisfied by my experience.  I want to emphasize that I had a really had a good experience.

It can be tough for me to get out and do new things but Candace made it so easy and comfortable and I got great experience in a type of photography I’ve never done before, which is exactly what I was looking for!"
